These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Notebook LM (“the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Notebook LM.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, and for all activity occurring under your account.
• If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately using support menu from the app itself.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload or generate content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes.
• Attempt to undermine the security, availability, or performance of Notebook LM.
• Disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

3. Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of content you upload to Notebook LM.
• By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely for providing Notebook LM features.
• We do not train third-party foundation models on your notebook content.

4. AI Output

Notebook LM uses AI models to generate responses. These outputs may be imperfect or inaccurate. You are responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of AI-generated content before acting on it. Notebook LM is not liable for decisions you make based on AI responses.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

• Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and plan details are shown in the app and subject to change.
• Subscriptions purchased through Apple are managed by the App Store (including renewals, refunds, and cancellations), and you can cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings.
• Fees are billed through the app store or payment processor you selected. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We may suspend or downgrade accounts for non-payment or chargeback.

6. Service Changes

We may modify Notebook LM or discontinue features at any time. If a change significantly affects you, we will provide notice through the app or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Service.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the settings panel. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or to comply with legal obligations. Upon termination, your right to access the Service immediately ceases.

8. Disclaimers

Notebook LM is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so these disclaimers may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notebook LM and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Notebook LM in the 12 months preceding the incident.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Notebook LM is headquartered, excluding conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction.
