1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Brainrot: Fix Doomscrolling application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Brainrot is a screen time management and digital wellness application that helps users control app usage through:

Scheduled Blocking Sessions: Time-based blocking of selected applications
App Time Limits: Daily time limits with automatic blocking when exceeded
App Unlock Limits: Restrictions on how many times apps can be opened per day
Usage Tracking: Real-time monitoring via Apple's Screen Time API
Productivity Insights: Analytics and reporting on digital habits

3. System Requirements and Limitations

3.1 iOS Requirements

iOS 16.0 or later
Screen Time permission granted by user
Device Activity permission for monitoring extensions

3.2 Screen Time API Limitations

You acknowledge that our App relies on Apple's Screen Time API, which has inherent limitations:

15-minute minimum intervals: Blocking sessions cannot be shorter than 15 minutes
System delays: There may be delays in blocking activation due to iOS system constraints
Extension memory limits: Monitor extensions have strict memory limitations (6MB)
Standby behavior: Blocking may activate upon device unlock if scheduled during device sleep
Third-party dependency: Functionality depends on Apple's Screen Time framework

3.3 Extension Capabilities

Our App includes several extensions with specific capabilities and limitations:

Shield Extensions: Provide blocking interfaces but cannot access network or main app data
Monitor Extensions: Track usage intervals but cannot communicate with main app
Report Extensions: Display usage data but cannot sync to external services
Action Extensions: Handle user interactions with shields but have limited functionality

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information updated.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4.3 Proper Usage

You agree to use the App:

Only for its intended purpose of digital wellness and screen time management
In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Without attempting to circumvent or disable blocking functionality maliciously

4.4 Screen Time Permissions

You understand that:

Screen Time permissions are required for core functionality
Revoking these permissions will limit or disable App features
You may need to reconfigure permissions after iOS updates

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the App to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or security
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
Use automated systems to access the App
Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
Impersonate others or provide false information
Violate the privacy rights of others

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Subscription Terms

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat
Pricing and billing cycles are displayed before purchase
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
No refunds for partial subscription periods

6.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
We do not store payment information directly
Subscription management occurs through your Apple ID account settings

6.3 Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with advance notice to existing subscribers before their next billing cycle.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

The App and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are owned by AGI Applications and protected by intellectual property laws.

8.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8.3 Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
Create derivative works based on the App
Use our trademarks or branding without permission

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 Service Availability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
Screen Time API functionality depends on Apple's systems and may experience outages

9.2 Accuracy of Blocking

While we strive for accurate blocking, system limitations may cause delays or gaps
Blocking effectiveness may vary based on device configuration and iOS version
We cannot guarantee complete prevention of app access

9.3 Digital Wellness Results

The App is a tool to assist with digital wellness goals
Results depend on user commitment and proper configuration
We make no guarantees about specific outcomes or behavioral changes

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for damages resulting from Screen Time API limitations or iOS system behavior

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AGI Applications from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of others

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account through the App settings.

12.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in prohibited activities
Fail to pay subscription fees

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to use the App ceases immediately
Your data may be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
Subscription benefits end immediately (no prorated refunds)

13. Updates and Modifications

13.1 App Updates

We may release updates to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add features. Some updates may be required for continued service.

13.2 Terms Updates

We may modify these Terms with advance notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where AGI Applications is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication with us via App → Profile → Get Help.

14.3 Arbitration

Any unresolved disputes may be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AGI Applications regarding the App.
