1. Introduction

Welcome to Apps for Google. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Apps for Google application and related features (the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Apps for Google is a native Mac launcher that helps you open Google web apps and related destinations through features such as a launcher window, menu bar utility, widgets, Spotlight integration, Shortcuts support, hotkeys, browser routing, and desktop shortcut exports.

Apps for Google is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google LLC.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

4. License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or internal business use on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where applicable law permits it
  • Interfere with or misuse the Service, including attempts to bypass licensing or purchase restrictions
  • Use the Service in a way that violates the rights, terms, or policies of Google, Apple, or any browser or third-party service you access through it

5. Local Storage and No Accounts

Apps for Google does not require an in-app account and does not provide a hosted backend for storing your app usage data. Favorites, recents, browser routing preferences, hotkeys, widgets, and related settings are stored locally on your device.

You are responsible for managing your own device backups, security, and access controls.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service opens destinations and relies on third-party platforms and software, including Google services, web browsers installed on your Mac, and Apple system features such as Spotlight, widgets, and Shortcuts.

Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and availability. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, changes, account restrictions, or content.

7. Purchases and Pro Features

Some features may require a paid upgrade, including Apps for Google Pro. If you purchase through the App Store, billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We do not store your payment card information.

We may change, improve, or discontinue Pro features at any time, provided such changes comply with applicable law.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that every Google service, browser integration, system shortcut, widget, Spotlight result, or menu bar action will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to paid or licensed features if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
