1. Introduction

At Apps for Google, we keep the app simple and local-first. The app is designed to help you launch Google services from your Mac using a native launcher, menu bar utility, widgets, Spotlight, Shortcuts, hotkeys, and desktop shortcuts. We do not operate a backend for app usage and we do not collect personal data from your use of the app.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

When you use Apps for Google, we do not collect, upload, or store:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or account profile
  • Your Google credentials or Google account contents
  • Your favorites, recents, browser routing rules, hotkeys, widget selections, or shortcut settings
  • Your Spotlight or Shortcuts configuration
  • Your desktop shortcut exports
  • Analytics about which Google apps you launch

3. On-Device Storage

Apps for Google stores its settings locally on your Mac. This can include:

  • Pinned apps and recent launches
  • Per-app browser routing preferences
  • Hotkeys and Quick Access settings
  • Widget configuration
  • Desktop shortcut export preferences

This information stays on your device unless you choose to back it up, sync it, or share it through tools outside of Apps for Google.

4. How the App Works

Apps for Google opens Google services using your selected browser and macOS system features. The app itself does not transmit your launcher settings or usage history to us.

When you open a Google service, your interaction with that destination is governed by Google's own terms and privacy practices. When you use macOS features such as Spotlight, widgets, Shortcuts, or menu bar integrations, those features operate through Apple's system frameworks on your device.

5. Purchases

If you purchase Apps for Google Pro, billing and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may process transaction-related information under its own privacy policy and terms.

6. Data Sharing

Because we do not collect app usage data or maintain user accounts for Apps for Google, we do not sell or share your personal information from the app with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics vendors.

We may disclose limited information only if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

7. Support Requests

If you contact us for support by email, we will receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, app version, macOS version, and a description of the issue. We use that information only to respond to your request.

8. Children's Privacy

Apps for Google is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. The latest version will be posted on this page.
